Cancellations and Transfers

If you can no longer attend:

  • At least 24 hours before the event: You may request a refund or transfer to another eligible session.
  • Between 2 and 24 hours before the event: You may transfer your ticket to another eligible session, subject to availability.
  • Less than 2 hours before the event: No refund, store credit or transfer is available.
  • No-show: No refund, store credit or transfer is available.

To transfer a ticket to another person, contact us at least two hours before the event and provide the replacement attendee’s name.

These change-of-mind rules do not limit any rights available under Australian Consumer Law.

Event Changes or Cancellations

Side Quest Cards may adjust, combine, reschedule or cancel an event where necessary, including where minimum attendance is not met.

If we cancel an event, customers may choose a refund to the original payment method or transfer to another eligible event.

If an event is rescheduled or materially changed and you cannot attend, you may request a refund.

Late Arrival

For casual events, late entry may be permitted where it does not disrupt other participants.

For tournaments, official late-arrival, round-loss or match-loss rules may apply. Entry may be refused where the event has progressed too far for the participant to join fairly.

Participant Conduct

All attendees must behave respectfully and follow reasonable instructions from staff and event organisers.

Side Quest Cards may refuse entry or remove a participant for conduct including:

  • Harassment or discrimination
  • Threatening, unsafe or seriously disruptive behaviour
  • Cheating or theft
  • Deliberate property damage
  • Intoxication
  • Refusal to follow event, venue or organised-play rules

A participant removed for serious misconduct will not ordinarily receive a refund.

Children and Young People

Children under 12 must remain supervised by a parent, guardian or responsible adult while in the store.

The supervising adult must remain on the premises and remains responsible for the child. Side Quest Cards does not provide childcare or general supervision of unattended children.

We may request parent, guardian or emergency contact details for an attendee under 18 who is attending without an adult.

Low-Sensory Sessions

Support people may attend without paying when they are present solely to support a participant. Anyone actively participating in the gaming or programmed activities must purchase the applicable entry.

Participants are not required to disclose a diagnosis. We may ask about practical access or support needs to help prepare the session.

Participants may leave and re-enter as needed. Attendance is capped at three groups of up to four participants.

We make reasonable efforts to reduce unnecessary noise, lighting and distractions, but these sessions take place within a functioning retail and community environment and cannot be guaranteed to be completely stimulus-free.

Photography and Video

General event photography may occur, with attendees able to ask not to be photographed.

We will not intentionally publish identifiable images of children without parent or guardian consent. Photography during low-sensory sessions requires express consent from identifiable participants or their guardian.

Official Organised Play

Official events may require participants to follow the relevant publisher’s registration, account, deck-construction, eligibility, tournament and conduct rules.

Promotional items and prizes remain subject to publisher supply and availability. Where an item was not expressly guaranteed, we may substitute a reasonably comparable store prize if official materials are delayed or unavailable.

Guild Marks

Guild Marks are awarded only for eligible events attended in person.

  • Events priced under $10 do not earn Guild Marks.
  • Tickets redeemed using Guild Marks do not earn additional Guild Marks.
  • No-shows and late cancellations do not earn Guild Marks.
